I usually travel to this spot to get away from the city. It is tranquil and peaceful there. I decided to go there with my camera on such a beautiful fall day. I am glad I did. The fall colors, the transparent reflection on the water, and the clouds against the blue came together so perfectly that I couldn't resist capturing them in a photo.

Recently I went on a Pontoon boat trip on Reelfoot Lake with the Memphis Camera Club. I had to be at the boat landing by 7 am so I had to get up very early for breakfast. On the way to the store, I saw an opportunity to get a beautiful sunrise photo that was worth a quick stop. The sun was just beautiful on the water that morning and this photo was the result. I took the photo with with a Nikon zf with a 28 - 400 mm lens zoomed in just a bit. Reelfoot Lake in West Tennessee is beautiful and

I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee but currently call Atlanta home. The desire to utilize my photography skills in my hometown had been lingering within me for quite some time, ranging from capturing portraits to documenting the essence of the city through street photography. With a clear vision in mind, my objective was to immerse myself in photography as much as possible during my brief two-day visit to Memphis. I connected with Coco, a promising model based in Memphis. This shot was taken on my first day into this trip. My wife and I decided to spend Labor Day weekend in the mountains which was wonderful but also very busy which isn't the best for wildlife photography. However, I did come away with some good shots from my outing (mostly landscape) and this is by far one of my favorite. I love how the light is striking the deer's face while he is mostly shrouded in shadow. I took this with a Nikon 200-500mm @ 500, 1/160s, ISO 100 and f6.3. I shot this across th

Was out looking for anything to photograph on one my few days off from work. So I went to the plot of land where I deer hunt. Any wild flower that may still be in bloom, insects, things like that. Tons of grasshoppers everywhere and I came across this fella. I didn't realize he possibly had a wounded left wing until I processed the photos. No wonder he sat thru many different angles, exposures, and me getting up in his face and didn't offer to fly off. I saw the sky start to get some color after looking too overcast. I grabbed my gear and went down to the road behind where I live. I had gotten a few shots of the headlights going the other way and it was too much of a contrast with the sky. I got set up, with the camera low to the ground and got a couple test shots. Then shot this at 5 seconds.
